Tällä viikolla olen järjestellyt tilkkuvarastojani. Lajittelin tilkut värien mukaan ja sitten silitin ne. Vihdoinkin voin käyttää nämäkin kankaanpalaset hyödykseni, kun ne löytyvät vaivattomasti. Ensin pitäisi vain keksiä jokin järkevä malli. Joitakin ideoita olen jo pyöritellyt mielessäni, mutta mitään päätöksiä en ole vielä tehnyt. Olen täydentänyt aikaisemmin tekemiäni töitä. Lähinnä olen ommellut suikaleen sinne ja suikaleen tänne.
I Can Fly on tässä vaiheessa. Reunukset puuttuvat siitäkin. Näköjään juutun kovin helposti juuri reunuksiin. Haluan valita sopivan mallin ja kankaan jokaiseen työhön, ja kekseliäisyyteni joutuu toisinaan kovalle koetukselle.
Sain myös kasvot kirjailtua. Mietin, mitä tekisin applikaation kankaiden reunuksille. Riittääkö pelkkä siksak ja tukiliimakangas vai pitäisikö reunat vielä kirjailla kauniilla kirjailulangoilla? Kokeilin siiven kärkeen ketjupistoja, mutta en oikein tiedä, jatkanko vai puranko pistot.
Viime viikolla kerroin, kuinka vaikeaa on muuttaa tuumat senttimetreiksi. Yhtä vaikeaa on myös muuttaa senttimetrit tuumiksi. En ole ainut ihminen, joka kärsii tästä pulmasta. Olen kuullut, että olisi jonkinlainen kaava, jolla olisi helppo muuntaa kymmenjärjestelmän yksiköt tuumiksi. Onkohan tämä totta vai onko tämä vain huhu?

Finally I found the missing cable from my son's property, where I put it by accident about a week ago. So today I have added the missing photos to my blog posts.
This week has been quite quiet about the quilting. I have organised my scrap fabric along the colours and ironed them. So I can find easily the scrap I need. But at first I have to find a great idea. Then I have continued with my unfinished projects by sewing and adding the stripe here and there.
Now the I Can fly looks like this: the borders are still missing. It seems like I have some difficulties to find suitable idea and fabric for borders. But I really want to be patient and wait for the idea.
I have sewn the face by hand. I wonder if I have to do something with the appliqué edges. Was that enough if you have sewn the sic sac and ironed the clue fibre between the fabrics. Or is it better to sew something beautiful. I tried with some chain stitches because I wanted to see, how it works. See the wing edge, please. Now I wonder, if I will continue with hand stitching or if I undo the stitches.
Last week I told here in my blog my difficulties with math. I really can’t handle with centimetres and inches. I do know that I’m not the only person in the world, who has such a problem. I do know that it is as difficult as the centimetres changing to inches. I have heard that there is a formula, but I don’t know if it is just a rumour. ;)
